Welcome to ABMus.   This site was developed by and for Christian musicians; singers, instrumentalists and liturgy planners as they looked for resources to support their Ministry.  Unfortunately, the A&B Music Committee was disbanded pending reorganisation and nothing has since happened. In the interim all information relating to Diocesan Music Events is being posted on the diocesan website - but you may have to look very carefully as it is not always easy to track down. [3rd Nov. 2007] Stephen Dean has been and gone. He was welcomed to A&B by around 200 eager singers and a sprinkling of instrumentalists. As always, Stephen gave great value for the entry fee. His humour was dry but gentle, his knowledge, encyclopaedic but accessibly presented and his repertoire vast and varied. Holy Gifts is the title of an OCP collection of Stephen's liturgical compositions - favourably reviewed in the latest Music & Liturgy from the SSG. There was a vast selection of music on offer today, much of it from Stephen's own catalogue. There was music to pray with, music to praise with and plenty to challenge the able singer without putting off the less confident. Suffice it to say that a good day was had by all and was all the better for by seeing so many faces from the past and so many new faces too. All credit to the A&B Liturgy Commission for organising this most successful day.
