PS - L stands for Laudate (if I get a spare moment I'll see if I can track down other sources too - or you could save me the trouble by letting me know!   Contact us at: info@abmus.org.uk  [Ed.]

PPS - These are all settings of Psalms which are "through-composed" - ie verses are all set to music, rather than using a set of Psalm tones with "pointed" text.   Many of them are "Common Psalms" which can be used (appropriately) to substitute for the Psalm in the Missal for a particular day.   Take a look at Tony's list for a more comprehensive list of sources.   It's worth checking with your Priest in advance if you plan to replace the Psalm of the day - he won't be very pleased if his Homily refers to the Psalm of the day!   In my Parish, the Prayers of the People (written by the Priest!) also take the text of the Psalm into consideration which is why I often find myself writing a setting myself (although I tend to use the Grail Inclusive Translations for my texts - am I being awkward?)   Bridget notes that in her Parish the settings are still responsorial with a cantor leading and singing the verses from the Ambo/Lectern and the assembly/congregation responding with the chorus/refrain.   [Ed.]
